Twin Peaks, Episode 5:
Pete stands next to Einer Thorson, the head Icelander, both holding plates of
food.

PETE- Now let me get this straight; your entire country is above the timber
line?

Everytime I think about Iceland, this snippet pops into my head. Pete Martell
was a naive, innocent lumberjack, who was part of a cadre wooing foreign
investments into Twin Peaks (headed by Ben Thorne, owner of The Great
Northern). A lumberjack who was incredulous that an entire country could exist
with no trees. Cracks me up.

Ah, Iceland. Sadly I am told that the only way to become an Icelander is through
marriage. There is no immigration (although I'm not sure the country's policy
on Amnesty or asylum).

But, you know what they say...

við ert allur Íslendingur!
