[Marsha asked Plattman]
Is George Bush a principled person? If your answer is yes, on what basis are
you making that judgement?

[An uncaffeinated Jarloker jumpin in]
Ah, see. Another fine time to use "Platt's Stands Rubrick". As we did before,
let's start with three simple paired axioms.

1a. The republicans are right about everything.
1b. The democrats are wrong about everything.
2a. Conservatives are wholly moral, virtuous, principled people.
2b. Liberals are immoral, deceptive, conniving evil commies.
3a. Everything right-wing radio reports is unquestionable truth.
3b. Everything the "liberal media" reports is a lie.

Now consider the facts.

George Bush is a republican.
He is also a conservative.
Right-wing radio says he is a swell guy.

Now we simply apply the axioms.

2a alone tells us Bush is a "principled person".

What's most amazing about this rubrick, is that in addition to its predictive
qualities, it is also fully explanatory. To get explanations, simply reverse
the process.

Why is Bush a "principled person"?

Because 2a tells us so.

Prediction and explanation. All rolled into one neat little three-pair axiomatic
rubrick.
