Thanks to Arlo we have the perfect "rubric" to determine where he 
stands on a topic.

1a. The democrats are right about everything.
1b. The republicans are wrong about everything.
2a. Liberals are wholly moral, virtuous, principled people.
2b. Conservatives are immoral, deceptive, conniving evil Nazis.
3a. Everything left-wing media reports is unquestionable truth.
3b. Everything the conservative media reports is a lie.
 
Then its a simple matter of breaking down the facts. In this case...

Al Gore is a democrat.
He is a liberal.
The "media" report his movie is accurate.

Finally, apply the above axioms to get "Arlo's stand".

Al Gore is right about everything.
He is a wholly moral, virtuous principled person.
His movie is true because the conservative media says it isn't
