Hi Steve,
I'd suggest you skip the church. There are thousands of activities
to provide social awareness. Spend quality time with them. Answer
there questions with quality. Be their spiritual guide (as best you
can). Teach them to think. Don't be afraid to say 'I don't know,
but lets explore some ideas.' Respect and nurture their curiosity.
Maybe if they get curious about church/worship take them to many
different forms including Hindu, Buddhist, Native American, Pagan
(Nature) Sabbaths and the Church of Reason (the University). Take
them for walks in the woods. Often show show them the night sky. I
suggest you keep it open, wonderous and dynamic.
