First, the quote is not dialogue. Second, much of the "novel" consists of reasoned
argument. In the quote above, he is expressing his enthusiasm for NYC as an example
supporting his argument for the existence of DQ. Third, most of what I have written
that you have responded to positively has been emotional stuff, like when I offered
some poetry. As Carl Sandburg said, "If it doesn't evoke laughter or tears, what good
is it?" Fourth, it's not fair to pick on me when others here also use emotive
language (thank goodness). Finally, without the emotional stuff, this site would be
like a dry-as-dust SOM scientific journal. I prefer "art" and a little emotional
stuff myself. I thought you did to. :-)
