Well sort of...

The sage is he who seeks balance between the heart and the head; between his
own desires and the needs of the community. It is not enough to say that one
should choose love over anger. There is righteous anger and there is
obsessive love. The sage knows the difference.

Our rational verbal side is just a fraction of who we are. If your head
rules your heart, you have no passion. If your heart rules your head, you
are a fool.

The sage is one who follows The Way.
The sage is one who has God's word written in his heart.
The sage is one who listens to the still small voice.
The sage eats when he is hungery and drinks when he is thristy.

Society is the collection of trials and errors a people shared. It must
allow reason to temper the expressions of the heart. But any society that
does not focus its attention on its childern is a society at once foolish
and doomed. It has lost the path. To borrow on our children's future, to
despoil the earth they will inherit, that is evil. No society that does such
things can long endure.

Was there ever a generation so foolish as to give no thought to making the
world a better place for the ones to follow?

Was there ever a people who had so obviously lost its sense of Purpose?

I hope i can contribute something here, because i have not been able to read

previous posts.

What is a principled person?

if there is anyone out there who thinks that there is some way to resist
biological forces, raise their hands. The strongest willed intellectual can

be brought to ruin by emotions. Is a principled person someone who is anal
retentive? murder isnt a biological crime. murder can be either emotional,

biological, or intellectual. just the same with anything in life.

sex for example. Sex is biological. good sex is emotional. great sex is
intellectual.

emotions are the symbiotic culmination of the biological hormones released
into the body, and the intellectual triggers for those hormones. the two go

hand in hand for many things. sometimes the intellectual is almost
non-existent, and has only a trigger function (for example one brought on by

human norms represented in society [i.e. fidelity]) fidelity is actually a
great example.

your in a relationship. this is a biological/intellectual/social structure
that is constantly in motion. when something happens that is intellectually

, or socially dissatisfying (being unfaithful, for example), then that seems

to trigger the release of hormones, which then in turn amplify those
intellectual/social disturbances, and soon overpower, and annihilate what
prinipled values the intellectual and social meta-architecture may contain
with such complete effectiveness.

Where then does this principled person go? do they cease to exist? or
simply check out of the principled hotel?

perhaps we can say that a principled person holds higher values. love
instead of anger. receptiveness instead of being close-minded. The
advantage that I see inthese are beneficial personally and socially if you
hold yourself to them. like karmic values.

anyhow, cutting it short. bed time.
