You might enjoy Don Cupitt's take on religion,
it is something like you would imagine religion to be
given MOQ rather than SOM. See his books:
Life, Life
The Religion of Life
and
The Religion of Being.

Most religious believers see Cupitt as no longer having faith.
This is progress as far as I am concerned.
