Publishing information that helps bilogical killers is a social pattern called
treason. The NYT is symbolic of what Pirsig was referring to in saying intellect has
really messed things up. It appeases, unable to bring itself to destroy biological
patterns with "complete moral ruthlessnes." Result: "Social catastrophe."
