[MD] Platt-a-ganda, Kermit, Chomsky & Goebbels

Platt weirdly stated (in his usual Establishment "Goebbels was misunderstood 
kind of way") July 14th:

As someone who has recently attended a lecture by Chomsky and has heard his 
emphasis on freedom, liberty and independent thinking, I thought Chomsky was 
as pro-(read "genuine") American as _anyone_ could be.  He's a great bloke 
as the Aussies say!

I suspect something is seriously wrong/out-of-kilter here.  So, regarding 
Platt's posts regarding politics in connection with the MOQ, how did that 
Sesame Street song go...

P.P.S. Not that the MOQ supports any particular SOM political ideology but 
isn't anarchy (freedom from unnecessary government interference) the closest 
traditional system there is to what Pirsig was getting at?
