Case and Platt:

Absolute Truth seems to imply that something is true for all people,
anywhere, and at amytime past or present. It is true that
18-year-olds can vote in the United States. I accept that as true. I
would not say it is absolutely true because it was not true before the
1970s, and could possibly not be true in the future. As for being
born, I accept that as true based on induction. From ZMM page 103-104:

"Inductive inferences start with observations of the machine and
arrive at general conclusions. For example, if the cycle goes over a
bump and the engine misfires, and then goes over another bump and the
engine misfires, and then goes over another bump and the engine
misfires, and then goes over a long smooth stretch of road and there
is no misfiring, and then goes over a fourth bump and the engine
misfires again, one can logically conclude that the misfiring is
caused by the bumps. That is induction: reasoning from particular
experiences to general truths."

Having witnessed other people being born and having life, and having
not witnessed anyone come to life without being born, I can conclude
that because I am alive, I was also born.
