...everything is essentialy undefined / infinite; 
only when speaking relatively (ie of ideas) can we
define, delimit anything. 

therefore ideas cannot convey essence (directly). this
is another way of showing the relativity (unreality)
of truth and, more importantly, the need for more
frugal use of 'words and notions' generally.
