[MD] I was talking to this lady

Hello,

I went to get my haircut and was gossiping with
the lady who was snipping away all that long hair that
grew since months ago when I last cut my hair. It was
outrageous what she was saying. First of all, her
sign in front of the store needs to be put away or she
will be fined or she can pay the township for a
permit. Ok, I guess, maybe no big deal.
Then she said she went through all the
inspections and obligations the township guide-lined
so she can add a coffee shop to her hair-cut place.
Then she was ready to open after the township said it
was ok, then they (the township) calls up days later
and said she has to tap into the township water supply
and quit using her well water, which before they said
as long as the water in the well is tested every month
she can use the well water. Now they won't let her
sell her coffee until she taps into the township water
supply. Pipes and trenches will have to be installed
and dug. It will cost her $5000. She is not allowed
to sell the coffee using the well water, she must use
the township water supply. She asked if she bought
bottled water and used that for the coffee would that
be ok. The township said "no". She has to use the
chemical filled township water, not the underground
river that flows underneath the area she is in. This
region is not lacking water, so that's not the issue.
We are the third state (Pennsylvania) next to Alaska
and Minnesota in a list of the most water ways in the
country. The water is cleaner from her well than the
township. So what's the issue here. Why is the
township fighting her on this? $, probably, $, unless
you can think of something else. Right now she is
giving out the coffee for free, but I gave her some
money called it a tip and took a cup for the road.
