Quite simple really.
(Wisdom, Freedom, Logic and Government all in one post ... excellent)
Guidelines are for the guidance of wise men (not the enslavement of
fools), and the local authority is not governed by wise men.
Received wisdom (as opposed to real wisdom) says if a guideline says A
and you agree Not-A and some people are harmed by Not-A, then you
"caused" that harm. (Rather than any inadequacies in the process that
framed the guideline.)
The madness of narrow logic and causality, instead of wisdom, which
would produce a much higher quality outcome.
