My point was about the relation between a person's (confidence in his) beliefs & the truth of his beliefs.  Hitler was absolutely sure that his beliefs about Jews were correct; nonetheless, they weren't.
I don't have any use for the notion of "absolute truth".  The notion of truth is good enough for me & yes, some truths are known.
