The social level (herd mentality) is highly overrated in this forum. Man is
a unique creature endowed with finite intelligence and an exquisite sense of
value. He thinks as an individual, is free to choose as an individual, and
bears the responsibility for his actions as an individual.
Unlike those of you indoctrinated by the MoQ, I do not consider life
purposeless. Indeed, I have stated many times here that the purpose of life
is to appreciate its values, the most important of which, in a relational
context, is the sanctity of proprietary awareness. This existence is a
dichotomy between the subjective self and its objective beingness. It is
transitory and evolutionary in nature. Metaphysically, existence is the
negated (differentiated) mode of the Absolute Source, and its purpose has
added meaning by virtue of the potentiality of its free agent (man) to
realize the value of the Source conditionally (relationally).

Obviously we are not alone. Acknowledging our individuality does not mean
that we are isolated from society or that we are not free to adapt a
particular social or historical position. Why do you see this as a "dreary
and depressing" theory? Is it less depressing to view man's existence as a
biological offshoot of Nature programmed to better an inanimate universe?
Of what value to man is the Intellect that you folks are vainly trying to
"level" if it is not an innate human faculty? If the individual human is
not significant in the cosmic scheme of things, but only behaves as dictated
by the Quality heirarchy, what is the purpose of original thought and
creativity?
> You just seem very trapped by your social values man.
Man, you have you got that wrong! If there's anyone less trapped by social
values on the MD list, I'd sure like to hear from that person.
Thanks for your concern.
