A little humble pie there.
Good point there. The unfortunate part is that people will only remember
the bad. IF you do manage to rebuild Iraq, and pave the streets with
gold, people will only remember the bad you have done them.

To their credit, the British did leave India with an infrastructure,
unlike the Dutch who pillaged and left nothing but  a barren land in
their wake.
