criminals won't work.

But I disagree with your judgment of the value of the MOQ.

The MOQ appeals to the highest value in man, his rationality based on
his experience. The problem is that most people refuse to be rational
if it interferes with their previously held beliefs, or engage in
rationalization (pseudo-rationality) to justify their biases.

I conclude we've won the battle when we remove those who are a danger
to society from society. Unfortunately we have a group of soft-hearted
liberal judges who give assaulters, abusers, and rapists a weak slap on
the wrist, and freeing them from jail to assault, abuse, and rape
again. Rehabilitation for repeat offenders is a waste of time and
money.
