[Plattman]
Jim, Bill or whoever is could no longer be trusted, like when Clinton lied
by saying, "I never had sex with that woman." His dishonesty was bad, and
Phaedrus was quick to say so.

[The Jarloker]
One more for the road. Wasn't it honorable for Clinton to try to protect
the reputations of both his wife and Miss Lewinsky? His cheating was
dishonest and bad, to be sure, and his wife has every reason to punish him
for that, but for refusing to besmirch the reputations of others in some
press-feeding frenzy, well, that I find "honorable". And if you, Platt,
succomb someday to the temptations of the flesh, and have/had an affair,
and refused to dishonor your wife (and the other woman) by making a public
proclamation of it, I'd find that well within your "honor". Just like in
The Long Black Veil.

Ah, what the hell. Two more. So, why do we not condemn Rush (for one
example) for lying about being addicted to drugs over and over on his radio
show? Why is that "evidence of dishonesty" not also enough to make you
despise him? Or is lying only "bad" when democrats do it?
