[Poot to Platt]
I mean, chemicals in teflon are only carcinogenic, cause birth defects, and are
passed down from mother to baby.......how bad could it be??

[Arlo]
I think the "teflon" comment was bait, Poot. Like those "Praise Sam Walton,
Halleluhia" remarks Platt interjects when things get slow.

But... how this conversation will likely unfold reminds me of an early Bloom
Country strip...

The day before in the comic the nearby nuclear reactor sufered a meltdown. Milo
confronts his dad, they are both wearing radiation masks.

Milo to His Father: Ya know, pop... Some people have been saying that we oughtta
shut down all the nuke plants.
Father: Yeah. Right. The commies. That's who.
Milo: Pop, there's been radiation all over the place for a whole week now.
Father: Great. Clears the sinuses.
Milo: Pop... the cat's gone bald.
Father: Good. So has your mother.

By the way, Poot. Good luck to the Netherlands on Sunday.

Arlo
