[MD] Emergent Consciousness

Hello Peter,

     Peter said:  "I don't get that; if 'I' is
illusory then how can it be part of reality?"

     Peter, the illusion that was being discussed, is
the illusion that consciousness is separate from the
universe.  
     Does anybody have quotes or chapters where Pirsig
mentions an emergent consciousness?  I'm not sure
where this concept comes from and the context already
implied by the mentioning of it.
