Platt and Gene,

Platt said: "Please cite one idea resulting from
brainstorming that attains the significance of ideas
of Galileo, Newton, Faraday, Ampere, Helmholtz, Hertz,
Curie, Plank, Eintein and a thousand and one other
individuals who are credited with achieiving great
things in the arts and sciences."

Platt, either you just want Gene to come up with
an idea about this, or your avoiding me. I've already
said, E=mc2 and how Einstein relates to this equation.
Somebody came up with what energy is, another person
came up with =, mass and all related concepts
providing the idea of mass and what mass is, etc...
(just like all relations leading up to all other
symbols in this equation), the speed of light was
figured out by somebody and squared was, too.
Then you have Einstein in a scientific culture
full of a society of people, even a society within a
society called the scientific community. They are
able to think about this kind of stuff, and Einstein
puts all the pieces together that other people came up
with and he puts another piece in the puzzle. The
puzzle is not done. We have quantum physics,
M-theory, string theory, and Einsteins theories. How
do they fit into the puzzle? Science lives on,
thanks, to Einsteins contribution. Contribution,
that's it, many contribute and out comes some answers,
just like the moq.org.
Then, as I've said, Einstein could have shown up
in the Amazon rainforest saying E=mc2. Now to them it
would have sounded like der-ka, der-ka, and then felt
sad for him as he keeps talking day after day.
Somebody comes over to him, gives him a bow and some
arrows. Points at his stomach and Einsteins stomach,
points at his mouth, too. Then he points into the
forest. What would you start doing if you were
Einstein? Talk or understand what needs to be done
while you're in the rainforest? The cultural
discussion continues....

Platt said: "As for our history being full of
horrors, they pale in comparison to the horrors
perpetrated by nazism, fascism, Muslim fundamentalism
and communism -- especially communism."

Careful, Platt, don't think too fast. Remember
the U.S. took over a whole Continent, almost. The
U.S. started many wars, even before becoming the
United States of America. War is in the culture.
Every generation of the U.S. has been involved in a
war. Wars by the U.S. start because the U.S. either
wants land (Manifest Destiny), more $ (more land leads
to more $, gold, oil, coal, etc...), and wars have
been fought in the ideological realm (against Nazis,
Islamic fundamentalist, etc...). Just don't forget
how this country has been founded and who's land it
has been built upon. Don't remember those people
still live here in their captivity (reservations)
manhandled by the U.S. gov't dictating how they are to
live where their forefathers decided, they have lost
their freedom. The call for freedom, could it not
start here? Have you forgotten about this bloody past
and present? Has it been swept under the carpet, yet,
remember they still live here! This is one reason why
freedom is defined by the U.S. to be for U.S. interest
and polices, capitalism, consumerism, as long as
McDonalds sells those burgers it's considered freedom.
Then you have Tibet, African countries, and
Amerindians. The U.S. has no interest, especially in
the latters freedom where the U.S. directly erases,
disposes of, dictates as a dictator, and has raped.
Freedom is just a call for those that want what they
want. Freedom can be used by anybody for a call to
arms. Hitler wanted freedom. He thought the best way
out of war and poverty was to have a pure race, free
from all confusion. Freedom can be twisted into any
ideology. Obviously, Hitler, that individual level
man, had to go. It's just I'm not understanding why
you said what you said Platt. Did you forget?
