Appearance to a human observer, I presume. Sounds like Idealism to me. A 
cardinal in my back yard depends on many things for her existence, but my 
looking at her is not among those things. It's like asserting that the moon
is not there when nobody looks, or that Ian's very existence depends on his
being an object of somebody's attention. Satisfying to the ego, perhaps, but
hardly sensible.
