Just another vastly interesting thing I read a while ago that I thought I'd
share. Not sure if it adds anything to the conversation, but it's neat as
heck!

The subatomic particles each have a wieght. A very, very small mass. So when
you put some quarks together to make a proton, you add their masses to get
the mass of the proton. Unfortunately this only gives a very small fraction
of the Actual mass of a proton. This is because the vast majority of the
mass of matter is actually caused by the energy expended by the quarks as
they rotate around each other inside the proton!! The movement of the
protons causes something like 90% of the mass of the proton. And then this
mass is what is used to calculate the mass of an atom (The more protons, the
more mass), then the mass of atoms to create the mass of molecules(The more
atoms, the more mass) and so on so forth all the wa up to the weight of all
matter. That means almost all of the mass that creates a macroscopic object
is created by nothign bu the rotation of subatomic particles! Most of our
mass is in fact energy!

I think that's about the coolest thing ever. Sorry for the sidetrack.
