Could it be that we have been practising corporate welfare for a few
years.

Newsweek reported this week that the Bush administration included wording in the
new budget the establishes the price of oil as "2004 figures indicate". While
this won't effect our price at the pump, what it does is give SynOil companies
a HUGE tax credit, since the credit phases out as oil prices increase. When the
bill passes, SynOil execs will reap billions of "our money". I wonder why the
"we hate taxes" republicans are not outraged by this? Oh yeah, because the
money isn't going to poor blacks on welfare...
