And those ideals will never be reached by other nations or culture hard
as they might try.

It's those ideals that people like Arlo ( believe or not Platt) is trying
to defend.

At the current rate we are going down the slippery slope of decreasing
personal freedoms and the Gestapo state we are heading toward in the name
of security, there won't be much ideals left.

Most important of all is that all the Checks and Balances were built into
the system to keep it running.

No new laws are needed, no overhaul is needed, use what you have.

But in order to do that you have to turn your own party members in and
nobody is willing to do that.

And as someone pointed out ( Joseph I think), when asking is democracy
intellectual? Well it should be.

Secular intellect. Intellect influenced by sound reason, scientific
methods, and progressive ( not liberal) thinking. Feelings and faith have
not role in this.
