[MD] Just coincidence?

Hi Dallas,

what you described must have been quite an experience, but I don't think
supernatural. Perhaps there was a faint peculiar odor in the air or perhaps
the ravens where making a lot of unusual noise that was just below your
threshold of immediate awareness. Perhaps your Mexican friend just saw an
worried expression on your face.

One of the most impressive things that happened to me was when I was asked
to think of a playing card and then to deal out the pack one by one, face
up. He merely had a finger touching my knee as I dealt the cards out but
successfully stopped me when I got to my chosen card. I asked him how he did
it and all he would say, wanting to maintain an air of mystery no doubt, was
'Recognition'. I would like to have that presence of mind and attention to
be able to perform such a 'trick' or better to be able to tell when
someone is lying to me - how do you develop such an ability?

The other day I thought I would be asked to give a person's name as a
reference but could not recall it (age I suppose); but as I lay in bed
later that night I was determined that I would dredge it up from my memory;
it took me about half an hour before I was confident I had retrieved his
first name, his second name was very unusual but after about another hour I
finally managed to recall it. Also, as a software developer, I frequently
find that programming solutions 'pop' into my mind when I am driving home
after work. Mysterious yes, but I don't think supernatural.

Regards

Peter
