[MD] Barbarians & Hippies

Hi all,

if hippiedom became widespread I doubt  we'd have much progress in
infrastructure development . I know there were some ernest hippies but in
general they were hedonists and mainly interested in short term fun rather
than long term goals.

I think all of us will agree that mankind is teetering on the brink; there
are too many people and the vast majority don't have time for reflection
because their life situation is too critical; they are bound up in the
biological and social levels, they starve, breed and go to war.  We are
talking about hippiedom here as a movement  for the future good of humanity
and I don't think it fits.
