Yes, aside from the distorted noise and flashing spotlights, my observation
leads to the conclusion: "It's the MESSAGE, stupid!"
This is also true of the cinematic arts, where the subjects for three of
this year's nominees for best motion picture were: 1) a pair of homosexual
cowboys, 2) a surgically altered man [played by a female], and 3) and an
effete New York author with a chronic lack of testosterone.
What message do you suppose they're trying to get across to us?
Thanks for helping to round out this brief reflection on the status of art
in the first decade of the 21st century.
