A dog in the wild is normally referred to as a wolf, and what they do to
survive is learn how to get along with other wolves. Lone wolves stand
little chance of survival. Wolve packs survive not by dependence but
interdependance.  They follow strict rules of behavior(law).  thier survival
is collective(social).  They are organised(organism).
