Hello Heather,

Scientists are the ones recording data to try to convince the power
possessors that global warming is a problem. Poets and philosophers may then
concoct some highfalutin words to stir up more feeling but scientists will
again be the ones who find the solutions in the form of alternative energy.

Do you think poetry and philosophy will help the starving Sudanese?

Of course, we may all take a step backwards and go and live in the woods and
stop driving around and surfing the internet; but  somehow I don't think
that will happen. The giant moves on.

By the way, I am not a scientist  but I recognise the role it has played in
man's development.
