[MD] independence

Hello everyone,

     Khaled said:  "There is no master plan
                           there is no leader
                           There are no blue prints
                           There is no central comity

     Yet this thing gets built. How? Well here is my
theory. The spherical thinking. Every living creature
is working for the common good. Whether your
contribution is passive or active, as long as it's a
"good" contribution society will benefit in the end."

     Independence is key to this spherical thinking,
and as your theory goes once independence snowballs or
gathers momentum, then what?  Will people be able to
govern themselves?  Will families and communities be
able to function effectively?  Quality Time, we need
this to be involved in our general actions of the day
and night.  Specialization leads us astray into
dependence.  Long ago this action from general
abilities by individuals to specialized abilities by
individuals occurred in urban societies.  We
definitely would have skills cultivated from what some
might call natural abilities or have knacks for
accomplishing certain acts of work.  This is not
specialization.  Some would be good wood carvers,
house builders, what to do with science and
technology, I don't know, I like computers.  So how
incorporating independence and the spherical thinking
that will take place and thus domino into other areas
of society not already discussed is a question to
discuss?  This does not have to lead or keep
specialization.  By specialization I mean
concentrating ones duty or work on specific long term
goals without having the time to nurture other
valuable things in ones life, such as the family.
     Somebody brought this idea up in another posting
and the idea of the renaissance man was the same as or
kin to what I was talking about.  If this kind of
person includes the ordinary activities of the day and
night needing our attention [example:  having the
Quality time to eat without rushing, having the time
to sleep effectively, having the time for mobility
(what is now called exercise)], then Quality time with
independence is key to spherical thinking becoming
spherical wisdom.  Isn't it?
     The termite mound you showed has termites acting
collectively for the common good, but humankind?  Our
intellect depends on understanding and performing
certain actions that provide comfort and control so
others don't begin to take away our freedom, our
independence.  When others begin to lay out master
plans, leader's don't naturally arise, but solidly
stay in place.  When blue prints are saved for
everybody else to have to follow certain pre-routed
plans.  When the commonality this U.S. collective
understands is consume and $, then this certain static
spherical thinking would contrast the Quality time so
seemingly simple from the very beginning of our birth,
the family.  The family has been pushed aside for what
this culture only understands.  The expectations of
behavior in which this culture has developed are
providing order and stability when we see each other
doing the same thing - work (leaving, being at, and
going home from), make $ (get paychecks or be an
outcast), consume (going to the mall or walmart).  
     The independence that would shift the connectors
in the sphere into a whole other understanding and
expectancies of behavior within the society?  It is a
question.  I don't know if people want independence
anymore in this culture.  People have shifted towards
commodities that make them more and more dependent
upon others and we become locked in a sphere that
leaves behind the Quality time I have defined to be
buried.  Have I defined it for myself?  Is the Quality
time I talk about and signify with value such as being
with the family, sitting by the fire (generally this
means conversing with others), walking, etc... have
these become only my values?  Has the Quality time I
think about disappeared from the society at large and
people only define Quality time as gaining $ and
having many hours of work to get more $ in order, in
the end, as I see it - to consume?

     quality time  

     What else with shift?  Spherically think and then
the wisdom (the thought with the action) could it take
place, are people willing to be independent or
dependent?  Which way will the society roll?
