Khaled,
Gettin food is bad quality? Is this to grab our
attention by Pirsig, in order, to get us thinking.
Because as I see it the monkey is dead with getting
the food, and the monkey is dead staying with the food
- the hunters are coming. The monkey cannot defend
him/herself against these hunters, yet, the desires of
the biological, appetiate, are pulling the attention
of the monkey another way as well. So where is the
attention of the monkey to be? What general advice
would we give the monkey? Enjoy what you are
experiencing now, because there is no later. Enjoy it
without the food, enjoy it with the sounds of hunters
coming. Enjoy that moment that is now with so much
crashing in on us, and tearing us apart. If the
quality is not seen in that moment, will the quality
ever be seen again?
