Clearly, anyone who holds the notion that the bible is a perfect guide
to anything should be in an asylum or under house arrest for their own
good. Fortunately such people seem to be in a vanishingly small
minority even amongst the practising faithful.
It is hardly an interesting or contentious point to debate IMHO.

Sin, and it is the choices, the Dynamic Quality of people's lives and the decisions they make with what they have at their disposal and thus, within their reach intellectually and socially. These types of sinfully acts in the Bible, these choices made with God's approval are made so, because of the sinful influence on humankind. God would have killed every creature on the earth and sky in the mythos of the flood, but he allowed Noah and his family to live. Why? Because Noah heard the Dharma. Noah had the clarity to see through the distortion. Was Noah perfect? No. Was Christ perfect? No. Why? Because Christ questioned God on the cross. Yet, Christ had to experience all the sin of the world to actually sacrifice sin for humanity. Call it sin, distortion, not living the now, call it incorrectness on a math quiz, call it what you will, but does this distortion exist and at times the
> behavior is the best behavior possible for the times - yes. Why is there eye-for-eye in the old testament and love your enemy in the new testament? I believe Christ had a lot more clarity? Why did Christ have this clarity? Why did Buddha have the clarity that he had after the culture in India was around for so long, and it took that long for Buddha to show up? Why? Why? Why? I know Christ went into the wilderness. He took a step back. I know Buddha sat down for some Quality Time with the universe. He took a step back. I know my wife is kind and has a relaxed disposition. She takes her steps back and is quiet at times. Quality Time, it is simple, quality time with that which encourages the spirit to have high morale. What brings on a sense of high morale and a high spirited disposition? Correct experiences influenced by waves of intellectual decisions and efforts - key word I think is effort. Constant effort may have good decisions seem not as good as later decisions

> What of Christs return? Who will be doing the killing? It does say the angels of heaven and Christ and such will battle it out. Yet, I am not quite sure how all of this will play out. For instance, the Bhagavad Gita talks of the warrior (I can't think of his name right now) who slays all that oppose his righteous ways. Yet, GaGandhiead this as a spiritual conflict. A conflict in ones' heart and soul. A conflict that plays out inside of ourselves and his weapon enacted by this very violent deed during his life was non-violent, peaceful removal of an empire - the Brits. This is how I lean, but I know that my translation of life is tainted with the values that I have cultivated over time on this earth with sky. I've heard one too many birds sing.
> Tecumseh almost stopped the U.S. exexpansionestward. He was building alliances. Alliances founded upon peaceful resolutions. He may have rose up in battle. He was a warrior, but during the time he put fighting on hold the sentiment of the U.S. population was leaning towards him and the Amerindians. Then the future president William Harrison in a corrupt fashion slaughter many at Prophets Village in IlIllinois believe it may have been. Well, Tecumseh was far to the south, I think visiting the Creeks and such, Harrison made it look as if trouble was coming from Prophets Village. It wasn't, but it was a plot that took him to the White House. The slogan "Tippecanoe and Tyler too". Tippecanoe is a reference to a battle he was in against the Shawnee (Tecumseh was Shawnee) and others. The U.S. is always battle ready. It has had a very serious, competitive spirit for quite some time now.

Reagan said he would and he did fire the air traffic controls that went on strike. My dad didn't know what else to do in order to get food on the table. People threatened to kill him and his family. They almost kidnapped him one time to take him to a hotel to scare and beat him he heard from somebody, but somehow he wasn't where they were going to pick him up. They broke into our house, but he chased after them and called the cops. Ever since then he went into a depression, saw society as a failed support (love kind of support) system, and this lead to his eventual death just last summer due to a heart attack that his manic depression ate away at. He tried to work. He was a case worker for Children and Youth's Service. He still had hope for society. He tried to help, but even
> the early shock therapy he had, and all other forms of medication couldn't help. He talked about the shock therapy to me a few times. He said it messed him up. He was very intellectual. We could philosophize for hours. Yet, without the foundation of society, the intellect may not be enough to save us. Without the ability to change (DQ), all the intellect in the world will fall on deaf ears. Value family. Value friends. Value life. Value the earth and sky. Value that which gives sustenance and nourishes the spirit. Find the quality somewhere so we all may breath from its' sustaining reach as the leaves grow to touch the sun and make contact with that ordinary, life providing 'thing' we call air, and so may we and our children do such as well. Build any walls recently? Do they have windows to open and let the air in? How has your morale been recently? Thus, how has your spirit faired? Does the quality of your experience seem to be of poor or excellent value and how
