Craig,
Craig said: "If one is working at a subsistence
level, then $ is rigidly valued because it can be used
for only one thing: survival. But for most people, $
is used to educate their children, improve their
surroundings, take vacations, and to satisfy in a
dynamic way countless other of their values."
Platt convinced me that I am more caught up in a
negative emotional state and latched onto $
pointlessly. You make this point above where many,
many activities involve the use of $. I'm going to
restrain myself from getting too bogged down in this
topic and take my own advice and not discuss $ for
some time, I hope. I will have to use it to do many
things, but it definitely is not dynamic the way I
understand dynamic quality.
The DQ is the unnamed activity. $ is a SQ that I
will use for any unforeseen activity that I have not
defined for myself yet, even as to what creek I will
fish next on the 5 days of vacation I have coming up.
The $ part is staticly known already. $ is named and
defined. Sure the value of $ fluxes in the market,
but that flux doesn't change the static value in which
I will still value it enough to use it, like I have
been using $ for years and years.
So, knowing that to bump, or get rid of all
static quality would be to fall into chaos. Thus, I
reserve myself to DQ and I will let the DQ experience
of my life change any SQ in some future time if need
be. As for now, $ is a static quality that I can not
do without, so, I'll keep all my $ spend and save as
intelligently as possible, and walk out the door to go
to work so I can have some $ when I come back home
from vacation.
