Capitalism in the form of voluntary economic exchange is tried every time someone has a garage sale or hires a babysitter.

Locke's arguments are rather dated.  Ayn Rand & Robert Nozick (especially, "Anarchy, State, and Utopia") give more modern arguments for private property.

There, that's how I annotate others' comments & my responses.  But any way that works is okay with me.
