Ooops, I sent the post before I finished.

I read the Weekly Standard article and I agree that it, too, is slanted. It 
does not address the central issue, which is the history of the relationship 
between Strauss and the current administration. For instance it asserts that 
Cheney, Powell, Rumsfeld and Rice are not Straussians but it doesn't compare 
and contrast their views with Strauss'. So we just need to believe this guy 
and feel all warm and fuzzy about Strauss because he was such a good guy.

I personally have never read Strauss' work, but it would seem that you and I 
and anyone else who is interested in the subject, should do so.
