Well, this is one of your intellectual patterns of which we can have a
conversation about its truth or falsehood. :-) Pirsig spent a great
deal of time explaining how the idea of social equality came from the
Indians and was the principle that justified our Civil War. That's why
I called it a high quality for the social level although the better
argument might be that it is a high quality intellectual pattern that
opposes the social class system where "everyone plays his part.".
