[MD] Capitalism in all it's shapes

Arlo,
You are wrong. The belief in the concept of "infinity" causes consumerism.
Capitalism is the method, the belief in "infinity" is the motive. The law of
diminishing returns is forgotten by corporations in search of double digit
growth annually. Life is work and work is love made visible and capitalism
is the only method of exchanging work that preserves freedom. Those that
work eat, those that don't work, eat those that do.

Micah,
Consumerism is the carrot that keeps "capitalism" working. It needs a
willing
population to partake of labor that mostly makes other people wealthy, while
being placated by shiny toys. To this end, people are bombarded with fear,
while the forces that SHOULD be moving them towards "being part of the
world"
keep moving them away.
