Hi Mark,
You seem to be accusing Ant of something in this
thread? Did I miss it? The way you cut and paste makes
it very difficult to read, so maybe I have. I can't
even tell who's speaking half the time.
You seem to be making an issue of things that seem
frivolous to me and perhaps other readers, like the
difference between a 'complete transcript' and a
'transcript'. Why should anyone care about this? Ant
has answered all your questions adequately and there
is no dispute here that I can see. All this pent-up
drama of "first-hand experience". But what of it? Is
there a point to any of this, and if there is, can you
spell it out plainly, as you seem to want to make this
public? And can it be formatted so that it won't be
missed, such as in a post that is not cluttered with
past responses? I can't tell hide from hare.
These are just my impressions. A less dense reader may
see what you are on about.

Mark 3-11-06: Hello Glenn.
The issue is one of editorial control.
I hope Julian Baggini didn't edit his interview with Pirsig but published it
in it's entirety.
There was no need for Anthony to edit it either.
It's as simple as that Glenn.
If you want more then i'm happy to debate the philosophy of editorial
control. The issue is an old one and is relevant to issues concerning freedom and
openness in society. Those who seek to mediate information seek to control
opinion and we all have experience of how that can be morally reprehensible i
should think. At the intellectual level the issue of openness becomes paramount,
and i think the MoQ supports this view.
I hope this helps?
Love,
Mark
