(car, land, house etc) and owner is alienating. this
is SOM pure and simple.

Don't know about you, Gav, but when I'm cruising down the highway on a
nice day, in a fine automobile, I don't experience any dichotomy between 
owner and object owned.  I feel One with the automobile, the road, the 
surroundings, everything - and also like a cosmic force leaping into the future.
This is DQ pure and simple.
