You meant Ham's wager, I guess, which I can't
comprehend either. He's looking for some kind of
absolute answer, and yet, he mentioned finitude. The
lingering I don't know is here, and so I turn my
head... smell a burnt match as my wife has just lit a
candle.

Here's a more simple choice that I

Excellent. My tiny skull can't fit this universe
into these nooks and crannies. This is what I meant
when I said to Ham that downplaying meditation and
koans is only to allow disruptive notions into ones
perspective. If these meditations, koans, or whatever
practice one has in choosing to be happy is
discouraged then the experience will be disturbing.
You will hear this disturbance in ones voice and
words, forever reaching out for that absolute answer.
That would blow my skull into a million pieces.
The paradox here, is that while I'm calmly
abiding in any activity, the clarity of this world
touches me. I'm happy, mindful, and I definitely hear
the rain falling. To think we humans can mimic the
rain falling with principles is folly. This event is
worldly...

The raindrops on the tree branches is soo
beautiful, this tiny skull... the change in seasons...
so much is quiet with the soft patter of rain. I'm
not comprehending what Ham's trying to do. He does
portray these moments in which he's trying to provide
such answers as it all boils down to this, and it all
boils down to that... I think if it all boils down to
this and that, eventually no more water in the pot to
make tea. That soothing tea... without that water the
cup will be dry. I don't know about you, but I'm
going to pour that hot water before the pot's dry and
- just drink the tea!

Near and dear to the heart is this comforting
pitter, patter of rain... ahhhhhhhhh!
Thanks,
