The point i was making, to your flawed argument about genital mutilation,
is that it is not a religious practice.
As Case proved too, is that genital mutilation is a Cultural practice in
subsaharan Africa practiced buy people regardless of their religion.
Let me repeat, I know you are getting on in age and those neurons don't
fire like they used to.
The point you were trying to make is that clitoredectomy is a practice
done by ONE religious group. The Point I am making is that it is done by
many religious group because of the culture they live in.
Let me repeat that one more time. Nowhere does The Bible, The Torah or
the Koran say go do harm to your daughter. Some cultures, see it OK to do
so. Some other cultures used to bind women's feet . In a sense they were
crippled but that was life. We all hope ( Ah that collective word again)
that one day such practices would disappear.
And to answer the above question, yes women under Muslim law are treated
humanely. But Unfortunately for you, have not read the Koran in Arabic
and so you would not know what the law says and what people do.
And that's where the crux of the problem is. You are looking at the
behavior of a few people and judging the rest. Imagine if the world
looked at the Amish, or the Polygamists in Utah and imagined that ALL
Christians around the world live that way.
Better Yet, if the world got only to see America through the Jerry
Springer show, the Movies Deliverance and Scarface.
Good Day
