i don't think we need a planetary government.
i don't think we need government full stop (what do
you reckon platt?).
power corrupts.
this may sound ridiculously idealistic to some but
with the advent of the internet i believe the 'global
village' can become a reality.
all localities should be self-supporting *and*
self-governing. real (participative) democracy in
other words.
on issues which require higher level coordination
(environment issues for instance) the wants/needs of
different communities would be relatively similar.
reaching consensus should be possible without
instituting any static hierarchies.
