Perhaps you'd like to explain why Brown University banned a fundamentalist
Christian group from campus.
[Arlo]
How can I explain something I had no part of. As I said, I'd support that
fundamentalist Christian group in speaking in the same way I'd support a
fundamentalist Muslim group in speaking. Personally, as I've said, they prove
themselves to be moronic by speaking, making my criticism (of these religious
ideologies) all the easier.
[Platt]
And why armed guards are necessary when conservative speakers like Ann Coulter
and David Horowitz arrive on campus to speak.
[Arlo]
Armed guards were necessary when Martin Luther King Jr. spoke too, Platt. Its
hardly only "liberals" who seek to censor oppositional speech.
[Platt]
And why a group of students of Columbia felt free to attack a speaker
representing minutemen who monitor illegals crossing our border. In other
words, I don't believe your the views you express here coincide with those of
your peers or reality.
[Arlo]
Okay, I'll bite. Do you believe there should be any restrictions on who and how
groups rally, either on or off campus? Would you support a neo-nazi, or
communist, rally in your town square? (I mean support as in allowing it to
legally occur). Should the American Marxist Organization hold a rally in
downtown Plattsville, would you protest? Heckle? What? And let me be more
specific, if you were the University President of Holden University, would
there be _any_ group you would ban from campus? Finally, when the AMO holds a
rally and is heckled by right-wing ideologues unable to see that they are
supporting a system that is exploiting them, do you vocally condemn this? Or is
it only when right-wing groups (whether the KKK or Miss Coulter) get heckled
that it bothers you?
