Joe: I am not familiar with "New Age". I have always been intrigued by
Gurdjieff's writing since I was exposed to it in 1967. It didn't make
a lot of sense until I read Pirsig's works and thought about quality
and morality.
Hi again Joe,
“New Age,“ as I remember it around this same period, was the name
offered for pretty much anything in the West that disagreed with
Christianity or Positivism. ZAMM was in there as well in the later
70s. I guess it’s a better name than Cult. ;o)
Thanks for the welcome. We’ll be headed out to the coast for the
weekend to spend Thanksgiving with Mom and Dad, so we’ll see Y’all in
a few.
Here’s wishing everyone a good holiday weekend.
As someone who once wouldn’t take the weekend off as it meant a loss
of business, I feel fairly lucky to have come across the “New Age” or
Occult schools of thought.
