I would choose to help the man in need of water, because I value life and
that is an affirmation of principle for me, which is a selfish reason that I
would be proud to act upon.

I'm not sure about your "intolerance" rant, but individual freedom implies
tolerance.

You aren't advocating forcing others to "choose" selflessness, are you? Your
cynical belittling exposes you.

Not at all. But I am advocating calling a spade a spade. In this case,
calling
selfishness selfishness. Calling intolerance intolerance. And denying that
criticizing intolerance makes one intolerant. And denying that giving a
thirsty
man water constitues the same selfish behavior as those who pass by. In
short,
I am for condemning these attempts to redefine words into meaninglessness.
