[MD] freedom is for the rich

Arlo,

"Selfless behavior" is an oxymoron. Without the "self" there can be no
"behavior". You are attempting to redefine selfishness as always negative.
It is not. This an attempt to play upon peer pressure and guilt, but you
should know that will have no effect on the selfish.

[Micah]
I would choose to help the man in need of water, because I value life and
that
is an affirmation of principle for me, which is a selfish reason that I
would
be proud to act upon.

[Arlo]
What you describe is not selfish behavior, despite the modern attempt to
define
it as such, and hence make it a meaningless concept. You describe selfless
behavior. Be proud of it.
