[MD] are theism and mysticism mutually exclusive notions?

Probably it's just me but I find fractals attractive but ultimately boring.
I guess it's their repetitive character that after awhile makes them ho-hum.
By contrast, humans using just three primary colors plus black and white 
(a simple formula if you will) create a far greater variety of interesting
and meaningful images, some of which break through static patterns to reveal
DQ shining all around. As I look at nature, it seems to appear more like
what human artists create than what a Mandelbrot equation produces, suggesting
to me that mind (consciousness) is more a part of nature than our scientists
care to admit.
