No offence Ant, but obviously you would.
Everyone feels nervous if they "lose control"
The point is should this space be a battle of individual wills and
motivations, means and ends ? Almost by defintion, the more motivated
amongst us tend to the "control freak" end of the scale. I'm no
different ;-)
What I'm repeatedly proposing is that we should formalise the
relationship between the group and those with editorial rights, so
that no-one with legitimate interest feels excluded from the process.
(As you know, I have develped those ideas in some detail, but the
basic principle needs to be bought into first.)
All power to David H's initiative as well as yours and Horse's, and
Paul's and ... and .... the dymanism is all important .... but the
combined value we have here needs protecting from not only what you
described as "personal grudges", but also the opposite; "personality
cults".
