[MD] guidebook

Ant, it's no more my "pet project" than it is yours.
And I stuck as much to the subject line as you did.
I was responding to your put down of David H's point, as you were.
As to DMB and Rebecca's points ...
Critical debate on (MD or MF or any other "forum") - agreed, the only
"controls" should be those we have already moderation of common
manners and respect. No content editorial control here or there.
Complete anathema to MoQ / DQ.
The only place I'm suggesting editorial control (as is David H and Ant
in fact, and I'm supporting) is in any body of work that claims to be
the common / official story of what MoQ means in the world. (Clearly
any of us can continue to publish our own work, but in our own
guises.)
I'm trying very hard to avoid any individual control element, mine or
anyone else's, that's the main point in fact. Please address it.
All I'm suggesting, all that is, (not any pet project, that was just a
suggested vehicle) is that where we have a group statement of what MoQ
is about, that the editorial control is with group appointed editors.
End of.
MoQ-Focus. I supported both Gav and Rebecca's suggestions (not that
they need my support). And will participate as intended. Go for it.
My only observation is that to outsiders / newcomers, MoQ-Focus, like
MD will be a mass of critical debate and counter-opinion, which can be
made to represent a common view only if someone does a Dan and creates
a Lila's Second Child with it. The Wiki, and David H's recent work on
it, can represent that common body of what MoQ is about in the real
world now ... with suitable editorial control beyond self-appointed
individuals.
Please address this point.
